Latest On The Conservation Gateway

A well-managed and operational Conservation Gateway is in our future! Marketing, Conservation, and Science have partnered on a plan to rebuild the Gateway into the organization’s enterprise content management system (AEM), with a planned launch of a minimal viable product in late 2024. Making it Work:

How Michigan National Forests modified LANDFIRE data for local use.

Tuesday, May 1, 2018, 12:30 PM Eastern/ 11:30 AM Central

Presented by Randy Swaty, Ecologist, The Nature Conservancy LANDFIRE Team
LANDFIRE delivers dozens of spatial datasets representing historic fire regimes, current vegetation, current fuels and much more. Each dataset labels more than 9 billion 30m pixels for the lower 48 states. For some uses LANDFIRE data needs to be modified. In this webinar, Randy will offer a brief introduction to multiple datasets and then explore how two National Forests are working to tweak LANDFIRE data to better meet their needs.

Randy will conclude by sharing resources and ideas that may help you think through modifying LANDFIRE or other similar datasets for your use. Information.
